Join our team as a Commercial Contract Analyst, where you will play a pivotal role in supporting our U.S. and Canadian pipeline and storage operations. Lead contract lifecycle management for transportation and storage agreements across 24 pipeline and storage facilities ensuring accuracy, compliance, and proper records retention. Ensure regulatory excellence by maintaining compliance with FERC Gas Tariffs, NAESB standards, and Sarbanes-Oxley controls while minimizing risk and audit exposure. Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Legal, Regulatory, Finance, Credit, and IT to interpret contract terms, translate requirements into system functionality, and proactively enhance business processes. Design and optimize contracting systems, including defining requirements, testing enhancements, and implementing solutions tied to capital projects, tariff changes, and customer needs. Analyze and report on contracting and revenue data to support strategic decisions, regulatory filings, investor relations activities, audits, and business development initiatives. Support customer engagement and issue resolution, including service requests, contract negotiations, discounts, credit considerations, and rights of first refusal (ROFR). Strengthen governance and controls by executing SOX testing, supporting audits, maintaining documentation, and driving continuous improvement in contracting processes and business continuity planning.
What You Have: Required:
A related university degree or technical diploma with limited experience OR a combination of related certification and a minimum of five years directly related experience. A team player with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude. Ability to speak and write in a clear, concise, and organized manner. Ability to effectively converse with customers and other groups. Ability to effectively solve problems by using analytical skills to reach a logical conclusion. Ability to work independently. Ability to handle confidential information in a sensitive manner.
Preferred:
Bachelors degree in business, finance, or other. Effective human relations, influencing and listening skills to deal effectively with all levels of employees and management in a "team" environment. Demonstrated ability to assimilate and prioritize a significant volume of information and determine the proper course of action, including the evaluation of information gathered from multiple sources. Effective negotiation skills for interfacing with internal and external customers. Proactive self-starter with high level of motivation and personal initiative. Demonstrated decision-making and leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to develop collaborative working relationships with other departments and external parties to achieve goals. Understanding of the FERC Gas Tariffs, statements of operating conditions, and associated services for the USGTM gas pipelines and storage facilities. This will be hands on training and understanding. Understanding of project management practices applicable to computer systems development is a plus. Proficiency working with office computer applications such as Microsoft Office Products.
Physical Requirements include but are not limited to: Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time. Mental Requirements (Both Field & Office) include but are not limited to: Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
