Job Description




As a Security Officer Patrol Service Associate in Durham, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a dynamic healthcare location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and observe activity within assigned areas, assisting with visitor directions, reporting concerns, and following site protocols for restricted or sensitive areas.
  • Support a professional environment by reporting hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations, and by providing courteous assistance during routine operations and/or urgent events.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
