Position Summary

The Vehicle Entry Manager is responsible for overseeing the Vehicle Entry Department, which includes leading a team responsible for vehicle check-in, vehicle inspection/imaging of vehicles entering the Manheim facility.

Key Responsibilities:

Vehicle Intake & Processing

Oversee daily vehicle entry operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of all incoming vehicles

Verify vehicle information (VIN, condition, mileage, title status) and confirm alignment with client documentation

Ensure all vehicles are properly tagged, tracked, and staged for inspection, reconditioning, or auction

Oversee all vehicle inspection/imaging and condition report activities for incoming inventory

Ensure accurate documentation of vehicle condition, including damage, mechanical issues, and grading

Maintain consistency with Manheim's national condition report standards and guidelines

Monitor workflow to ensure timely completion of reports aligned with auction schedules

Team Leadership:

Supervise, train, and develop vehicle entry staff, including check-in team, inspection team, and imaging team

Monitor team performance, productivity, and accuracy against established KPIs

Conduct regular audits, coaching sessions, and performance evaluations

Quality Assurance:

Perform routine audits of condition reports to ensure accuracy and completeness

Address discrepancies and retrain team members as necessary

Partner with arbitration and inspection teams to resolve condition disputes

Ensure high levels of buyer trust through consistent reporting practices

Data Accuracy & Systems Management:

Ensure precise entry of vehicle data into Manheim inventory systems

Audit records regularly to maintain data integrity and minimize errors

Troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies related to vehicle information or documentation

Process Improvement & Efficiency:

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance throughput and reduce bottlenecks

Collaborate with inspection, reconditioning, and auction teams to streamline workflows

Utilize reporting tools to analyze operational performance and recommend enhancements

Customer & Client Support:

Serve as a point of contact for internal teams regarding vehicle entry/inspections/imaging

Ensure client expectations are met regarding turnaround times and data accuracy

Address escalations and resolve issues in a timely, professional manner

Compliance & Safety:

Ensure adherence to company policies, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements

Maintain a safe working environment for all team members

Monitor yard operations to ensure proper vehicle handling and storage

Qualifications

Required:

High school diploma or equivalent

3-5 years of experience in operations, inventory management, automotive, or logistics (preferred)

1-2 years of supervisory or leadership experience

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Proficiency with data entry systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)

Working Conditions:

Indoor and outdoor work environments, including inspection lanes and vehicle lots

Frequent standing, walking, bending, and inspecting vehicles

Exposure to weather conditions, noise, and moving vehicles

Ability to lift up to 40 lbs

USD 81,400.00 - 122,200.00 per year

Compensation:

Compensation includes a base salary in the range of $81,400.00 - $122,200.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Benefits:

The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company's needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members.
