Engineering Technician (Temporary)

Job Summary

Responsible for, but not limited to, gathering and organizing the information necessary to provide the Energy Lending Group with oil & gas reserve evaluation summaries.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform engineering calculations and preliminary analyses for interpretation of data and communication with Energy Lending personnel, in-house petroleum engineers and third-party engineering consultants.
  • Establish and maintain data files for oil & gas economic software programs including set up of new databases, organizing, manipulating, and analyzing client and third party provided databases, and generating reports with propriety engineering software programs.
  • Compile data, communicate, and provide information to Energy Lending Group and management.
  • Gather information necessary to perform the evaluation of oil & gas reserves from third party engineering firms and engineering personnel of clients and prospects.
  • Perform data management activities, which include loading, verifying, manipulating, analyzing, updating, and reporting data related to engineering operations.

Experience and Education:

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, finance, banking or related field is preferred
  • Graduation from a recognized school of banking is an asset.

Minimum Experience

  • 5 years in Oil and Gas Industry
  • Knowledge of Oil & Gas industry vocabulary
  • Knowledge of credit analysis practices
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
  • Proficient with Aries and PHDWin engineering software
  • Strong math and computer skills
  • Skilled in collecting and analyzing complex data
  • Skilled in analyzing and organizing technical data
  • Good time management skills
  • Ability to apply skills and concepts to ensure data integrity, data reliability, and data accessibility throughout the Energy Lending Group.
  • Ability to quickly make sense of, combine, and organize information into meaningful patterns

Licenses and Certifications

  • Completion of Apprenticeship under Certified Engineer
  • Training/coursework completion for engineering software Aries and PHDWin
