As a Security Officer Building Access Control in Irvine, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic aero and defense location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will support a professional environment through strong communication, customer service, and teamwork, while bringing integrity, reliability, and innovation to each shift.

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aero and defense location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, production areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or visitor information as directed by site procedures, and report unauthorized access attempts or restricted area concerns.
• Support site operations by preparing reports, maintaining logs, and assisting with incident follow-up related to security-related matters, emergency situations, and/or client-directed protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, which is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
