Job Description




As a Security Officer Armed Clinic Patrol in Fort Lauderdale, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a government healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with strong communication and customer service. In this role, you will bring a caring, reliable approach, work with integrity, and contribute to a team focused on responsive, innovative service.

Pay Rate: $21.40 / Hour

What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or local responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit activity in accordance with site protocols, verifying credentials and reporting unauthorized access attempts.
  • Support emergency and medical-related response activity by assisting with crowd management, directing foot and vehicle traffic, and providing information to responding personnel when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

  • An armed guard card and/or license is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of service in a healthcare and/or medical-related field is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
