Granite Hills Hospital is seeking a talented and dynamic Assistant Director of Intake and Admissions to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals!

The Assistant Director of Admissions assists the Director of Admissions with the administrative oversight and direction of the hospital's Admissions

Department. This position provides supervision to a staff of specialists in the provision of patient access to care and behavioral health assessment services,

including call management, clinical evaluations for level of care, crisis intervention, admissions and referrals. This position interfaces closely with the

hospital's medical staff, nursing staff, department leaders, and administration, as well as external referring agencies and payers. The Assistant Admissions

Director is responsible assisting with departmental adherence to policies and procedures, regulatory compliance, service excellence, and data

entry/management. In addition, the Assistant Admissions Director assists in the development and management of processes related to efficient and smooth

admission processes. The Assistant Admissions Director reports directly to the Director of Admissions and will assist in interviewing/hiring new staff, staff

supervision, clinical case consultation, coordination and organization of day-to-day activities that will enhance effectiveness of the Admissions Department

and security to ensure smooth admissions processing for referral sources, families, staff and patients

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, psychology, mental health, nursing or a related field; LCSW, LMFT, Ph.D., or RN-Licensure

Experience: A minimum of three (3) years direct clinical experience, preferable in a psychiatric or mental health setting. Working knowledge of the Addiction & Recovery field and experience in clinical interviewing, patient assessment, family motivation, treatment planning, communicating with external review organizations or comparable entities, and working effectively with people of diverse backgrounds.

A minimum of 2-3 years of managing a professional/clinical team and responsible for staffing, budget, and process improvements.

Licensure: R.N., L.C.S.W., L.M.S.W., LPC or applicable license.

Additional Requirements: Complete knowledge of crisis intervention techniques. Trained in de-escalation procedures, CPI and CPR certification.
