The Field Service Supervisor will assist the Operations Manager in providing management oversight and resource coordination within a designated region or at a designated site. The Supervisor will be responsible for managing his/her groups daily support efforts and will assist with defining the annual goals and objectives for those employees that report directly to him/her.

Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's Degree Aviation Maintenance or related curriculum required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 9 years combined experience. Position Purpose: The Field Service Supervisor will assist the Operations Manager in providing management oversight and resource coordination within a designated region or at a designated site. The Supervisor will be responsible for managing his/her groups daily support efforts and will assist with defining the annual goals and objectives for those employees that report directly to him/her.
Job Description
Principle Duties and Responsibilities: Essential Functions:
  1. Provide direction to Field Service staff to include: identifying special work assignments, establishing priorities and providing technical advisement.
  2. Report directly to the assigned Field Service Operations Manager or in the case of Contract Logistics Support (CLS) the CLS Site Manager, on all matters relating to customer support needs and issues.
  3. Report on personnel matters including but not limited to staffing levels, employee assignments and employee performance levels. When assigned, carry out the duties of the Operations Manager in his/ her absence. .
  4. Utilize Lean Initiatives to streamline Field Service/EIS duties as they pertain to fleet status support and reporting.
  5. Initiate and administer employee annual performance reviews for Field Service Reps and Sr. Field Service Reps.
  6. Provide leadership, training and mentoring to Field Service Reps and Sr. Field Service Reps.
Additional Functions:
  1. Perform all duties of a Field Service or Entry-into-Service Representative. .
  2. Assist FS Operations Manager with fleet support assessments to determine specific needs associated with a growing fleet and new model aircraft. .
Perform other duties as assigned. Other Requirements:
  1. An A and P license and four (4) years of related aircraft experience in addition to the nine (9) years combined experience may offset the Bachelors degree.
  2. Nine (9) years combined experience in any or all of the following areas: (a) Experience as a Gulfstream Field Service Representative, (b) Experience as a Gulfstream Entry-into-Service Representative, (c) Experience in a group leader type role overseeing technical support personnel, (d) Experience as a Technical Operations Specialist within Gulfstream Product Support organization, (e) Experience maintaining and repairing one or more Gulfstream model aircraft in either a service center or flight operations environment, (f) Flight line experience as a technician and/or flight mechanic in a Corporate Flight Operations environment (domestic and international) providing daily maintenance, scheduled or unscheduled AOG support and/or logistic support integration, (g) Flight Engineer experience supporting unscheduled maintenance, pre and post-flight inspections and routine servicing of complex aircraft in a domestic and/or international arena, (h) Integrated digital avionics and electrical systems maintenance and diagnostics experience is desirable.
  3. Formal training (Flight Safety International maintenance training or equivalent) on one or more of the Gulfstream model aircraft is highly desirable.
This job requires one to be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
