*Mechanical Claims Specialist (Remote/Hybrid)* *Overview* Are you an experienced automotive mechanic ready to take your career in a new direction? As a *Mechanical Claims Specialist*, you'll leverage your hands-on automotive knowledge to evaluate repair claims, support customers, and guide dealerships through the claims process-without the physical demands of shop work. This role offers career growth, stability, and the chance to build on your technical expertise in a fast-paced, customer-focused setting. *What You'll Do* * Review and assess mechanical repair claims using your automotive knowledge * Determine claim approvals or denials based on warranty guidelines * Support *dealerships* by reviewing repair requests and coverage eligibility * Assist *vehicle owners* by explaining claim decisions clearly and professionally * Guide customers through next steps for repairs and claim submissions * Maintain accurate claim documentation using internal systems * Deliver excellent customer service by actively listening, showing empathy, and resolving concerns * Collaborate with team members to ensure fair, consistent claim handling *What You'll Be Handling* You'll primarily manage three types of calls: * *Dealership inquiries:* Verifying if repairs are covered under warranty * *Customer explanations:* Clarifying approved or denied claims * *Customer guidance:* Advising on next steps for vehicle issues and claim initiation *Qualifications* * 3+ years of automotive repair or mechanical experience * Strong knowledge of vehicle systems and repair processes * Ability to clearly explain technical information to non-technical audiences * Excellent communication and customer service skills * Experience handling complex or escalated customer interactions * Comfortable using multiple systems and tools simultaneously (Microsoft Office, claims systems, etc.) * Detail-oriented and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment *Preferred Qualifications* * ASE certification * Experience with tools like *AllData*, *Mitchell*, or diagnostic scanners * Bilingual (Spanish/English) *Additional Requirements* * Willingness to travel for approximately *2 weeks of initial training* * *Availability for occasional Saturday shifts* * *Reliable high-speed internet and a quiet work-from-home setup* *Why Make the Switch?* * Move out of the shop into a *less physically demanding role* * *Apply your technical expertise in a new, meaningful way* * *Gain experience in claims, customer support, and operations* * *Join a growing team with career advancement opportunities* *Job Type & Location* This is a Contract position based out of Phoenix, AZ. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
