Job Summary

The Lead Inventory Control Coordinator is responsible for overseeing inventory control in coordination with branch team members and management, including cycle counting, location maintenance, track inventory issues, and process all types of returns. Additionally, this role will direct the day-to-day warehouse and inventory-related activities including receiving and shipping by monitoring the In Process Queues.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities



  • Lead warehouse associates in executing inventory-related processes.
  • Manage the cycle counting program with precision and support team members in performing accurate counts.
  • Respond to and complete inventory trackers in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks) to move or reorganize stock.
  • Monitor equipment maintenance and warehouse housekeeping. Understand best practices and proper procedures to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
  • Work accurately in Location Maintenance, Inventory Adjustment Entry and Cycle Counting in compliance with Irby protocols and procedures.
  • Manage the Return Goods Queue, processing all return types (Review, Defective, Overship) to Irby vendors, customers, and other branches according to Irby Standard Procedures.
  • Maintain courteous and professional communication with internal and external customers.



Minimum Qualifications



  • Knowledge of safety practices and procedures.
  • Ability to lift heavy packages and objects (up to 50 lbs.).
  • Skilled in operating forklifts and/or other material handling equipment.
  • Ability to maneuver large vehicles in tight or congested areas.
  • Familiarity with automated or computerized system operation.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Customer focused and detail oriented.
  • Ability to stand or extended periods.
  • Visual acuity, including close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.



Preferred Qualifications



  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Two to three years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
