Additional Job Description: The West Virginia University School of Medicine, Department of Neurological Surgery, and the WVU Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute are recruiting a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation/ Interventional Spine andPain physician (ranks available: Professor, Associate Professor or Assistant Professor) to join a comprehensive neuromusculoskeletal based practice at Berkeley Medical Center in the eastern panhandle of WV. You will be joining a dedicated and collegial group of physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners who have expertise in interventional spine and pain management, neurosurgery and physiatry. The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Martinsburg, WV. Duties: The successful candidate will practice in the area of physical medicine and rehabilitation and interventional spine andpain management. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. Qualifications: Successful candidates must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical license. Successful candidate must have completed a physical medicine and rehabilitation residency program. In addition, candidate must have completed one year of NASS-interventional spine and musculoskeletal fellowship, or ACGMEpain medicine,or ACGME (interventional) Sports Medicine fellowship. Private practice fellowship is also acceptable. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment. Candidate must be ACGMEboard eligible/certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation andPain Medicine or(interventional)Sports Medicine, or have a certificate of completion from a NASS-InterventionalSpine and MSK program or other private interventional spine/pain fellowship program. The position will be primarily outpatient service. Opportunities for electrodiagnostic evaluations and ultrasound-guided procedures exist. Expanding outpatient opportunities also include spasticity management, prosthetics and TBI, along with a comprehensive neuroscience center to manage various neuromuscular and neurologic disorders.
