SUMMARY: The Clinical Supervisor provides supervision to non-independently licensed therapists from all Gateway programs including children and adult, outpatient and high-acuity levels of care. The supervising clinician must be an independently licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) qualified to provide supervision according to the clinician's area of practice and be credentialed with the participating insurance company rendering services for reimbursement. RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides direct, day-to-day supervision of behavioral health clinicians, including individual and group supervision sessions Reviews and approve treatment plans, progress notes, and other clinical documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance. Conducts case consultations for complex or challenging cases, offering recommendations for improved care. Performs reviews of case files for completeness, quality, and appropriateness of therapeutic modalities. Adheres to policy and procedures specified by the different payors for billing provider requirements. Supports staff development through contributing information regarding training, performance reviews, and feedback. Ensures clinicians are knowledgeable about state and federal regulations, professional ethical standards, and facility policies. Keeps abreast of best practices in community mental health, integrating this information into clinical supervision guidance. Qualification Requirements/Experience: Masters Degree in Social Work from an accredited graduate school (Current CSW from State of Rhode Island required) Independent license as an LICSW. Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience preferably in a health or mental health setting with an emphasis on populations to be served by Gateway. Experience in clinical supervision. Basic Knowledge/Special Requirements: Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care and to develop or administer clinical services with consideration of stages of human development and cultural patterns.Analytical skills necessary to evaluate patients, programs and procedures.
