Accounting Supervisor

Position Summary:

The Accounting Supervisor will oversee day-to-day accounting activities related to accounts payable and accounts receivable. The supervisor will also support month-end close activities and other accounting projects. This role will act as Sarbanes-Oxley ("SOX") coordinator. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Supervise and support one Accounting Specialist in daily operations for Accounts payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Act as SOX coordinator to provide training to SOX process owners and ensure timely completion of SOX deliverables.
• Facilitate month end closing activities including manual journal entries, balance sheet reconciliation and other routine deliverables.
• Facilitate and support internal and external audits with required documents.
• Support capital authorization requests process.

• Support ad hoc projects and cross-functional needs within the department.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting (CPA is a plus)
• 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Solid understanding of US GAAP and internal controls (SOX experience a strong plus)
• Experience with Syteline ERP systems is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
