Leidos is seeking a Senior Life Cycle Manager to support cutting-edge engineering efforts within the Undersea Systems Division (USD). This role is a unique opportunity to drive innovation in remote vehicle systems and maritime sensors that support critical defense and national security missions.

You'll support a multidisciplinary project team developing advanced maritime technologies in a part-time, consulting basis.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the development and implementation of life cycle product support and logistical strategies, frameworks, and best practices for key technologies Leidos is developing
  • Provide subject matter expertise in reliability, maintainability, and total cost of ownership analysis
  • Support cross-functional teams in integrating life cycle considerations into design, development, and operations
  • Conduct assessments of current product development and support processes and recommend improvements for efficiency and sustainability
  • Guide root cause analysis, failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA), and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) efforts
  • Teach leads and engineering team members how to build internal life cycle engineering capability for long-term product support and sustainment.
  • Support and guide the development of documentation, standards, and training materials to support long-term adoption of best practices

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of 20+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, and product support, with a strong focus on life cycle sustainment for Navy systems.
  • Demonstrated expertise in logistics planning, reliability analysis, asset management, and product/system life cycle methodologies
  • Deep knowledge of government and industry standards and tools related to life-cycle support, training, documentation, and repair
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
  • Experience mentoring and developing cross-disciplined technical teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the US Navy programs, contracts, and mission requirements

Training sessions and knowledge transfer to internal team members
