Job Summary
The Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting in-process and completed electronic, electromechanical, and mechanical assemblies, including wire harnesses and cable assemblies, to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and quality standards. This role utilizes blueprints, inspection tools, and measurement devices to identify defects such as structural flaws, internal defects, and missing welds. The position requires strong attention to detail and experience working in regulated manufacturing environments.

Job Responsibilities



  • Inspect in-process and completed products, including electronic units, subsystems, and mechanical or electromechanical assemblies
  • Verify conformance to drawings, specifications, blueprints, and inspection instructions
  • Identify structural flaws, internal defects, missing welds, and other nonconformities
  • Use measuring instruments such as micrometers, dial indicators, scales, and fixtures to perform inspections
  • Accept, reject, or initiate rework for defective or nonconforming products
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections using established methods and procedures
  • Work in accordance with quality control and statistical process control requirements when applicable
  • Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records
  • Collaborate with production and quality teams to resolve nonconformance issues


Job Requirements



  • Minimum of 4 years of experience inspecting wire harnesses and cable assemblies
  • Strong familiarity with IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards
  • Familiarity with J-STD-001 requirements
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical specifications
  • Proficient in the use of inspection tools and measuring devices
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects and nonconformities
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, avionics, or electronics manufacturing preferred
  • Strong documentation and communication skills
  • Ability to follow quality control procedures and regulatory standards


Work Experience



  • Minimum of 4 years of wire harness and cable assembly inspection experience required
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, avionics, or electronics manufacturing preferred
