We are currently recruiting for 1 Team Manager - Finance Business Systems position located at Union Station, Los Angeles, California.

This recruitment may also be used to build an eligibility list for the following location at Headquarters - Los Angeles.

We are seeking a collaborative and solutions-oriented leader to support Finance and Administration business systems and serve as a strategic liaison between business users and Information Technology teams.

This position is ideal for someone with strong knowledge of accounting and financial operations who also has experience supporting enterprise business systems, ERP implementations, process improvements, and cross-functional initiatives.

The Team Manager - Finance Business Systems plays a key role in helping Finance teams optimize how systems support day-to-day business operations. The position focuses on business process improvement, system coordination, user engagement, operational support, project leadership, and implementation activities - rather than software programming or infrastructure support.

This role is especially suited for professionals who enjoy:

What You'll Do

  • Lead and Mentors: Act as a Finance administrator lead responsible for Finance business systems coordination, operational support, and continuous improvement process initiatives.
  • Oversee Systems: Support enterprise financial system related to accounting, accounts payable, payroll, procurement, budgeting, billing, treasury and management from a business and operational perspective.
  • Drive Projects: Lead and support ERP implementations, system upgrades, testing, workflow improvements, and other business system enhance projects focused on improving efficiency and user experience.
  • Bridge Communication: Act as the primary liaison between IT staff, Finance business users, consultants and other departments to support system enhancements and resolve business process issues.
  • Optimize Processes: Apply financial principles and technical expertise to improve workflows, reporting, internal controls, documentation, training and overall operational efficiency across Finance functions.

Schedule: 44/36, Monday through Friday /Every other Friday off. Monday through Thursday 9 hours per day, 8 hours per day every other Friday.

Hybrid: Metropolitan's current practice in this position is a hybrid work schedule. This typically includes two days a week in person and the other days remote. This is subject to change dependent on organizational needs. In addition, a telework policy is scheduled for negotiations and once completed and implemented, will provide final direction on the hybrid schedule.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in accounting, computer science, computer information systems, accounting information systems, and/or business administration with an emphasis on information technology and accounting or finance and ten years of increasingly responsible relevant experience, of which three years must have been in a supervisory, project management, or lead position or an advanced degree from an accredited college or university with a major in accounting, computer science, computer information systems, accounting information systems, and/or business administration with an emphasis on information technology and accounting or finance and eight years of increasingly responsible relevant experience, of which three years must have been in a supervisory, project management, or lead position.

Relevant Experience is defined as: Progressive experience in Accounting and Finance including leadership responsibility for enterprise financial systems and ERP platforms such as Oracle EBS and/or PeopleSoft. Experience should include system implementations and upgrades, financial process optimization, business analysis, operational support, internal controls, testing and troubleshooting, stakeholder collaboration, and managing projects and teams supporting financial and administrative operations.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS

DESIREABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with IT Specialization Or;
  • Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP) Or;
  • Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) with a focus on IT
