NATURE AND SCOPE
This position reports to VP, Treasury Management. Responsible for overseeing the process of preparation and assembly of commercial accounts to ensure completeness and proper organization. Serves as liaison between Commercial Lending and Branches to make sure commercial banking accounts, small Business loans and Business credit cards are set up properly and in compliance. Works commercial account pipelines, understands commercial account documentation, commercial retail lending, cross sells Landmark's products and services and follows through to obtain all required documentation from Members, Commercial Lending and Branches. Travels to various branches to help open complex Business Memberships. Serves as a mentor and trainer for branch personnel. Audits account files for completeness and accuracy.
REQUIREMENTS
1. High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of three years of experience as a personal financial officer or comparable position. Preferred experience working with business/commercial banking accounts including documentation and auditing.
2. Proven knowledge of the business/commercial banking account life cycle with a thorough understanding of account documentation requirements and auditing procedures.
3. Ability to work through the process of small business auto loans and credit cards.
4. Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service for members and business partners.
5. Experience or ability to gain proficiency in all relevant programs and systems used for this job including Microsoft Word, Excel, Temenos and/or other analysis software.
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently as a valuable team member in a dynamic environment.
7. Must have a thorough understanding of company policies and procedures as they relate to this position. Must understand and comply with all job-related State and federal laws and regulations.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Works commercial account pipelines, understands commercial account/lending documentation, and follows through to obtain all required documentation from members, Commercial Lending, and the Branches.
2. Oversees the process of preparation and assembly of commercial accounts to ensure completeness and proper organization.
3. Oversees the process of preparation and assembly of small business lending accounts to ensure completeness and proper organization.
4. Serves as mentor and trainer for all branch personnel and assists other associates when needed.
5. Works with and travels to branches to assist in opening complex Business Memberships.
6. Maintains and audits all business account files.
7. Develops outbound business development.
8. Works with the Bank at Work program to strengthen relationships with businesses and Landmark.
9. Serves as a support system to credit union personnel and assists members with their commercial account phone inquiries.
10. Cross sells other products and services to members including checking accounts, certificate of deposit, business credit cards, and money market accounts.
11. Ongoing training to stay apprised of rapidly changing procedures, policies, and compliance changes in the business area.
12. Performs other duties as assigned.
