We're seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Vice President, Sales Executive to join our Data & Analytics Sales team. This role is located in Boston, MA. Overview As a Business Solutions Architect at BNY, you'll lead the design and delivery of end-to-end technology solutions that translate strategic business goals into scalable, secure, and cost-effective architectures. You'll partner with product owners, IT teams, and business stakeholders to spark innovation, optimize processes, and ensure our solutions "Be More for our Clients," "Run our Company Better," and "Power our Culture." In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
- Solution Design & Roadmapping (specifically for the Eagle suite of products, the BNY Data Vault, and pControl)
- Elicit and document business requirements; define target-state architectures that balance functionality, performance, security, and cost
- Create solution blueprints, roadmaps, and integration patterns aligned to BNY's enterprise architecture standards (specifically, seeking someone who understands Investment Accounting, Investment Data Management, and Performance Measurement)
- Stakeholder Collaboration
- Engage with business leaders, product managers, and technology teams to build consensus around architectural approaches
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear business value and ROI for executive audiences
- Governance & Best Practices
- Enforce architecture governance, compliance, and security policies throughout the project lifecycle
- Identify technical risk, dependencies, and mitigation strategies; drive decisions through architecture review boards
- Implementation Support
- Guide development teams on best-fit technologies, API design, data modeling, and infrastructure patterns
- Perform design reviews, proof-of-concepts, and feasibility assessments; troubleshoot critical issues in production
- Continuous Improvement
- Capture lessons learned and drive a culture of "Own It" and "Stay Curious" by proposing platform enhancements, reusable frameworks, and automation
- Mentor junior architects and engineers; share knowledge through brown-bags and design guilds
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
- 7-10 years of IT experience, with at least 3 years in a solution- or enterprise-architecture role
- Deep understanding of cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), microservices, API management, and integration technologies
- Proven track record designing large-scale, multi-tiered applications in financial services or similarly regulated industries
- Strong facilitation skills-comfortable leading workshops, architecture reviews, and steering-committee presentations
- Excellent verbal and written communication; able to tailor messaging from hands-on engineers to senior executives
Preferred Skills
- TOGAF, Zachman, or equivalent architecture framework certification
- Experience with Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code)
- Familiarity with data platforms (streaming, data lakes, analytics) and modern UI/UX frameworks
- Knowledge of security controls (IAM, encryption, audit logging) and regulatory requirements (SOX, GDPR, CFTC)
BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $104,000 and $190,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs. This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
