Position Summary

Fully prepares items for shipment from the incoming order to outcoming shipment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and packs product for shipments using established procedures and policies.

  • Reviews Customer demands and Sales Orders for parts to ensure proper product is selected and correct Ship-to instructions are followed.

  • Prints Sales Orders through the use of paper instructions and computer schedules.

  • Stocks production parts in appropriate location utilizing barcode scanners.

  • Reports production through Backflushing Transactions and Allocates parts for shipping according to established and accepted practices.

  • Reviews Sales Orders to determine method of shipment and Freight Payment Terms.

  • Creates and affixes shipping labels and other markings per instructions.

  • Corrects problems with outgoing shipments by selecting from one or more established procedures.

  • Completes appropriate invoicing for outgoing shipments through the use of various computerized applications.

  • Performs consolidation and coordination of bulk pick-ups and shipments.

  • Understands and follows procedures for ISO, DOT, and Export Compliance. Knows where appropriate documentation is kept.

  • Performs document imaging and files related documentation per established Record Retention policies

  • Follows Standard Operating Procedures required within department.

  • Other duties maybe assigned as required.

Qualifications

Education, Credentials and Previous Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • 1-3 years experience in manufacturing environment, shipping / receiving required.

Technical Depth and Breadth:

  • Intermediate computer skills.
  • Able to follow written/verbal instructions and directions in English.
  • Learns and maintains required skill and proficiency to successfully accomplish full job responsibilities; willingly takes on new assignments and cross trains in other areas.
  • Ability to work from schedules & charts.

Problem Soliving and Analytical Skills:

  • In coordination with team members, initiate contact with other support groups to resolve problems.
  • Actively participate in improvement activities, Lean and Kaizen projects, HPT and TIB meetings.
  • Learn structured problem solving skills.
  • Provide suggestions for improvement. Consistently open to change and new ideas.

Teamwork and Interpersonal Skills:

  • Dependable, prompt and reliable with good overall attendance; present at work station when required.
  • Demonstrate ability to get along with others; behave professionally; treat all coworkers with respect and dignity consistent with Parker Values and Code of Conduct.

Physical and Mental Demands:

With or without reasonable accommodation:

  • Required to sit, stand, bend & reach.

  • May be required to stand, sit or alternate between sitting and standing for 8+ hours at a time, based on business needs.

  • Require near vision acuity, color vision, and visual accommodation to see and manipulate small parts at near point for extended periods of time.

  • Good hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity.

  • Rotate functions in cells as needed.

  • Walk on concrete and other hard surfaces.
  • Frequent lifting of materials <20 lbs., occasional lifting up to 26 lbs.
  • Must be able to lift and move heavier weights with assistance of other personnel or provided equipment.
  • Use of Personal Protective Equipment as required, may include safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection, gloves, apron and/or any other equipment deemed necessary.

  • Exposure to oil, grease, and dirt.

Competitive Compensation

  • Pay Range: $23.45/hr to $32/hr
  • Participation in Annual Incentive Program
