Sr. Contract Analyst
What you will be doing: The Senior Embedded Contract Analyst serves as a strategic analytics partner, leveraging deep expertise in healthcare analytics platforms, contract optimization, supply chain intelligence, and data-driven performance improvement to support member cost savings initiatives and enhance revenue growth opportunities. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-impact analytic solutions that optimize GPO value, contract utilization, clinical and supply chain performance, and member engagement outcomes. The Senior Embedded Contract Analyst partners closely with executive leadership, commercial teams, sourcing stakeholders, and member organizations nationwide to translate complex data into actionable insights that drive measurable financial and operational improvements. The ideal candidate possesses advanced knowledge of healthcare data ecosystems, business intelligence platforms, analytic methodologies, data governance standards, and process optimization strategies. This individual acts as both a subject matter expert and embedded analyst, proactively identifying opportunities to improve analytic capabilities, streamline workflows, resolve complex data challenges, and support strategic growth initiatives across the organization. In addition to executing advanced analytics deliverables, this role provides mentorship, training, and operational guidance to analysts while supporting the evolution of scalable analytics processes, technologies, and member-facing solutions. Develop and deliver executive-level, member-ready analytic solutions that support contract optimization, supply chain savings initiatives, revenue enhancement, and clinical performance improvement opportunities. Serve as a strategic embedded analytics advisor to members and internal stakeholders by translating complex healthcare, sourcing, and utilization data into actionable business insights. Lead advanced spend analytics, contract penetration analysis, utilization trending, benchmark reporting, and opportunity identification across complex contract categories. Utilize deep expertise in business intelligence platforms, analytic tools, large healthcare data sets, and reporting technologies to support data-driven decision making. Analyze and interpret large, complex datasets to identify cost savings opportunities, operational inefficiencies, compliance gaps, and revenue-driving strategies. Partner with leadership to continuously improve analytics methodologies, reporting frameworks, automation opportunities, and data governance processes. Troubleshoot complex data integrity, platform, reporting, and tool-related issues; provide root cause analysis and coordinate resolution across functional teams. Support the design, optimization, and implementation of scalable analytics processes, workflows, and reporting standards that enhance member experience and operational efficiency. Maintain advanced knowledge of Premier data sources, supply chain technologies, contract structures, sourcing strategies, and healthcare operational workflows. Act as a subject matter expert for Supply Chain ITS tools, including data extraction, validation, transformation, upload management, and reporting optimization. Provide mentorship, onboarding, and technical guidance to analysts and cross-functional team members on analytics tools, reporting standards, and best practices. Prioritize and manage multiple complex deliverables in a fast-paced environment while ensuring accuracy, quality, and on-time execution. Support member operation plans by understanding account-specific nuances, reporting requirements, strategic priorities, and engagement objectives. Generate ad hoc analyses, executive summaries, and strategic reporting to support member retention, growth initiatives, and Premier commercial objectives. Collaborate with account management, sourcing, clinical, and operational teams to ensure rapid issue escalation, resolution, and continuous service improvement.
Analytics Strategy & Innovation - 20%
Support the continued evolution of analytics capabilities by identifying opportunities for process automation, reporting optimization, technology enhancements, and scalable analytic solutions. Contribute to enterprise initiatives focused on maximizing member supply chain savings, operational performance, and clinical improvement outcomes. Provide strategic insights related to data architecture, analytic performance, system optimization, and emerging business intelligence technologies. Participate in cross-functional initiatives supporting regional operations, sourcing strategy, member engagement, and enterprise growth objectives. Maintain a strong understanding of organizational structure, product portfolios, analytics solutions, and value-added service offerings. Develop expertise in supply chain collaborative structures, member eligibility requirements, contracting methodologies, and operational governance models. Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance analytic maturity, reporting standardization, and overall member value realization.
Required Qualifications Work Experience: Years of Applicable Experience - 4 or more years
Education: High School Diploma or GED (Required)

Advanced healthcare analytics and healthcare supply chain expertise Deep knowledge of analytic platforms, business intelligence tools, and data visualization technologies Strong understanding of healthcare data architecture, governance, and data quality management Expertise in spend analytics, contract optimization, sourcing analytics, and supply market analysis Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and enterprise analytics/reporting platforms Experience with BI tools, SQL/data extraction processes, and large-scale data manipulation Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities Ability to synthesize complex data into executive-level insights and strategic recommendations Proven ability to manage competing priorities and lead cross-functional collaboration initiatives Strong communication, presentation, stakeholder engagement, and consultative partnership skills Ability to mentor, train, and influence less experienced analysts and team members Experience supporting operational transformation, process improvement, and analytics modernization efforts Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail Ability to work independently while driving accountability and execution excellence
Experience:
Experience in healthcare, healthcare technology, supply chain, GPO, or business intelligence environments preferred Significant experience developing and delivering complex analytical solutions and executive reporting Experience supporting strategic cost savings, operational efficiency, or revenue enhancement initiatives Demonstrated expertise presenting clinical, operational, and financial analytics to leadership and member stakeholders Experience working with enterprise analytics tools, healthcare datasets, and performance improvement initiatives preferred

Premier's compensation philosophy is to ensure that compensation is reasonable, equitable, and competitive in order to attract and retain talented and highly skilled employees. Premier's internal salary range for this role is $72,000 - $120,000. Final salary is dependent upon several market factors including, but not limited to, departmental budgets, internal equity, education, unique skills/experience, and geographic location. Premier utilizes a wide-range salary structure to allow base salary flexibility within our ranges.
