| Job Description Summary: |
This position will be housed in the Department of Engineering Management and Systems Engineering and will work directly for faculty member Dr. Caitlin Grady.
- Using extensive experience and judgment, this role will plan independent research, analyze and interpret data, publish results, represent the university at conferences and meetings, develop new theories and methodologies, and lead and direct the work of lower-level research staff, while transferring technical expertise.
- This position is responsible for planning, conducting, and leading research at a high level by designing and conducting experiments in multiple settings.
Performs other related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position |
| Minimum Qualifications: |
Qualified candidates will hold a master's degree and 1 year of experience in a related discipline. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. |

| Preferred Qualifications: |
- An MS degree in engineering plus 1+ years of research experience in basic science research is preferred.
- Experience working in engineering management, engineering education, systems science, systems thinking, systems engineering, or systems dynamic modeling.
- Comfortable interacting with students, staff, and stakeholders from a variety of backgrounds and perspectives.
- Works independently, expected to perform work based on objectives.
- Manages and executes highly complex or specialized projects or processes.
- Adapts precedent and may make significant departures from traditional approaches to develop solutions to significantly complex problems.
