As a Pipeliner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and reliable operation of company pipeline systems. This hands-on position involves responding to emergencies, supporting maintenance activities, and protecting both people and the environment along the pipeline right-of-way. You will work in dynamic conditions, applying technical expertise and safety-first practices to maintain pipeline integrity and respond effectively to operational needs.

What You Will Do

  • Respond to emergencies along the pipeline corridor, supporting containment, repair, cleanup, and preventative actions to mitigate potential incidents.

  • Perform pipeline maintenance and repair activities, including tasks such as sleeving, stoppling, and other emergency or standard repairs in accordance with company procedures.

  • Maintain pipeline integrity by completing activities such as launching and receiving inspection tools, clearing shorted casings, and installing test leads.

  • Conduct line crossings by coordinating one-call requests, reviewing maps, locating pipelines, engaging with utilities and landowners, and staking pipeline locations.

  • Ensure full compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and company policies while performing all maintenance and operational duties.

  • Achieve and maintain Operator Qualification (OQ) on required covered tasks, while overseeing and supporting unqualified personnel when necessary.

  • Act as a company inspector for contracted work and provide supervision coverage when required, including stepping in as Pipeline Supervisor.

What You Have:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Valid Driver's License and good driving record

  • Ability to acquire a CDL Class A Driver's License with air brakes, hazardous materials, and tank vehicle endorsements.

  • Should live within 25 miles of the reporting location, unless agreed upon by management.

Preferred:

  • Competence and experience in pipeline maintenance operating procedures

  • Basic understanding and use of computers

Working Conditions:

  • Field work can include long hours under various extremes of weather involving strenuous physical labor.

  • Travel required up to 75% of the time.

  • On call (alcohol free) is required.

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:

Balancing, bending and stooping, climbing, crawling, carrying (up to 85 pounds), grasping, kneeling, lifting (Up to 100 pounds), pulling hand over hand, pushing, reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, walking, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement.

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
