Reporting to the Workforce and Administrative Services Manager, the ASSET Payroll & Workplace Administration (PWA) Supervisor provides immediate supervision for the day-to-day work of a group of payroll analysts. Is responsible for creating and overseeing the team's daily workflow, assigning work and monitoring employee output. The Supervisor assigns tasks, trains, mentors, evaluates staff performance, conducts one-on-ones, and manages team operations. This position is responsible for the review and audit of transactions, reports, and payroll data (i.e. TARS, Payroll reports, etc.) for accuracy, completeness, and compliance. Creates and prepares reports, manages data, and ensures accuracy in written communications. A portion of time may be spent performing individual tasks related to the ASSET PWA department; however, supervisory activities constitute a primary part of the job. Supervises ASSET PWA operations to ensure compliance with departmental or organizational policies, procedures and defined internal controls. Ensures accountability and stewardship of department resources (operational, financial and human) in compliance with departmental standards and procedures.

If a qualified pool of candidates from within the organizational unit is not identified, qualified candidates from the campus, UC system, or external candidates may be considered at the discretion of the hiring department. The full salary range for the ASSET Payroll & Workforce Administration Supervisor is $68,500 - $121,900 annually. However, the budgeted salary range for this position is up to $95,200 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff. As a University employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements. | |
