The Support Services Coordinator will play a critical role in supporting daily operations within the Office of the Registrar and across the Division of Enrollment Management. This position provides essential administrative and operational support to ensure the accuracy, efficiency, and compliance of registration, records, and related processes. The role also contributes to project coordination, policy implementation, and continuous process improvement to enhance service delivery for students and campus partners. |

Rutgers University - Newark, an urban public research anchor institution, located in Newark, New Jersey, a city of promise, is seeking a Support Services Coordinator in the Office of the Newark Registrar will report to an Assistant Registrar. Major responsibilities include veteran student certification and Dept of Veteran Affairs policy/procedural analysis and research. Will assist with student registrations on all levels - graduate, undergraduate and visiting students; process all withdrawal,
LOA, school to school and re-enrollment applications for all of the undergraduate and graduate deans; assist with general transcript, verification and diploma processes and mailings; assist with all grade changes, coding, prefixing, transfer work and roster submissions; assist with all inquiries as they relate to special populations, including, but not limited to, high school programs, veterans, athletes, consortiums, and cross-registration with
NJIT/
RBHS. Monitor all Salesforce cases/email sand phone inquiries and delegate as needed. This position is cross-trained on all Registrar functions and will be team lead for our office. Assist with general office duties within the Newark Registrar's office.
The position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
- Ensure data integrity in alignment with academic policies, university procedures and practices
- Focus on standardizing Veteran Enrollment Certification including record imaging and data retention
- Coordinate with the RU Newark Office of Veteran Affairs in communicating with students and academic units to meet Veteran Affairs Federal Guidelines to maintain compliance for certification of Veteran Educational Benefits upon admission, through degree completion
- Assists with student registration on all levels - graduate, undergraduate and visiting students; process all withdrawal, LOA, school to school and re-enrollment applications for all of the undergraduate and graduate deans
- Assists with general transcript, verification and diploma processes and mailing; assist with all grade changes, coding, prefixing, transfer work and roster submissions.
- Assist with all inquiries as they relate to special populations, including, but not limited to, high school programs, veterans, athletes, consortiums, and cross-registration with NJIT/RBHS
- Assist the Office of the Newark Registrar with general office duties to include, processing data requests, document imaging and indexing, coordinating daily workload with office staff and student workers to meet deadlines and ensure the optimum efficiency and use of resources

Qualifications
| Minimum Education and Experience |
- Requires a bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
- Must have experience as a Veteran Affairs (VA) School Certifying Official or have worked in a Veteran Affairs Department at an institute of higher education
- Requires a minimum of 2 years' experience working at a Registrar's Office or in a higher education setting
