Analyst, Business Development, Private Equity Practice
The Role The Business Development Analyst, Private Equity (PE) will serve as a critical strategic resource within Spencer Stuarts Private Equity Practice, supporting the firms growing advisory portfolio and enabling highquality, responsive business development and client engagement efforts. This individual will partner closely with PE Consultants, and the Leadership Advisory Services (LAS) Client Development team (CDT) to design bespoke client proposals, develop compelling presentation materials, and strengthen the firms overall gotomarket execution within the PE advisory space. The Business Development Analyst will bring consulting acumen, strong analytical capability, robust learning agility, and exceptional communication skills to ensure that clients receive timely, bestinclass proposals and materials. By assuming ownership of proposal development, pitch support, and content customization, this role will meaningfully enhance responsiveness to clients allowing leaders to focus on client delivery, relationship building, and strategic account management. In addition to driving proposal excellence, the Business Development Analyst will contribute to the development of the PE knowledge ecosystem, product output design, and consistent client delivery. This includes building and maintaining a robust library of offtheshelf materials, anonymized client decks, sample reports, usecasespecific starter kits, pricing examples, and curated insights in collaboration with practice leadership. Moreover, the Business Development Analyst can expect to join client conversations and inbounds to help translate client needs into action, and ensure consistent delivery standards in our methodology, framing, and output. The role will also assist in broader research and business development initiatives, enabling the practice to deliver more datadriven insights and scale its thought leadership. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
IDEAL EXPERIENCE Successful candidates will be self directed, intellectually agile, and able to proactively anticipate and address the complex business development needs of the Private Equity practice. They must thrive in a fast paced, quick turn environment, bringing strong commercial intuition and the ability to translate nuanced client contexts into high quality, bespoke proposals and strategic materials. In addition, they must collaborate effectively across the Private Equity practice, Leadership Advisory Services Team, and our Client Development Team to shape multi solution pursuit strategies, strengthen client relationships, and support new commercial opportunities. They will remain composed under pressure, navigate shifting priorities with ease, and demonstrate exceptional multitasking abilities, a strong ownership mindset, and a results oriented approach to driving advisory growth. Specific experience should include:
1-2 years of professional services experience, ideally within Human Capital. Understanding of and interest in the Private Markets and/or Private Equity landscape is strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to craft bespoke, impactful proposals and collaborating with senior stakeholders in doing so. Strong project management and operational ability with exemplary detail-orientation. Ability to work across global stakeholders internally and externally with clarity, transparency, and understanding of dynamics. Balance of action-orientation, efficiency, and commitment to quality. Excellent communication skills and credibility with senior executives and colleagues. In possession of permanent U.S. work authorization.
The base compensation range for this position is $80-90k per year. The actual base compensation offered within this range will be dependent on the individuals skills, experiences, and qualifications. This position will be eligible to participate in our annual discretionary bonus program. Spencer Stuart also offers a competitive benefits package, which includes:

Compensation and benefits are commensurate with other high-end professional services firms. CRITICAL CAPABILITIES FOR SUCCESS Project Management Plan, manage, and drive your own efforts in support of new business development and search assignment support as measured by timely completion of project tasks and feedback from project team members. Manage multiple projects with competing deadlines, work with individuals who have differing styles, and manage challenging expectations.
Provide accurate and timely research information about executives, organizations, markets, or other relevant sectors. Take ownership of the project by doing what is needed at all phases of the research process. Anticipate the next steps and act independently with minimal direction. Regularly reassess priorities to allocate resources effectively and proactively adjust your workload to provide additional support to the assignment team as needed. Deliver commitments on time or notify relevant parties promptly if issues arise or deadlines are at risk of being missed.
Problem Solving Synthesize research for business development initiatives, search assignments or intellectual capital initiatives and provide a succinct and accurate point of view as measured by quality and timeliness of contribution to assignment/project objectives.

Subject researched facts to extensive analysis and interpretation before drawing conclusions. Make inferential leaps in thinking to reach a solution despite incomplete or ambiguous information.
