TITLE: Production Scheduler

LOCATION: Onsite in Lithonia, GA

COMP RANGE: $68,000 - $87,000

Griffith Foods is hiring a Production Scheduler to play a key role in overseeing the production scheduling process, ensuring that manufacturing operations run smoothly and efficiently.

This is your opportunity to leverage your expertise in production efficiency, inventory management, and working capital optimization to enhance customer satisfaction and contribute to Griffith's overall business performance.

As a Production Scheduler, your responsibilities will include:

  • Generate weekly production plan and daily production schedule for Mixing, Packaging, Staging & Batching operations.

  • Must have scheduling production scheduling experience.

  • Review line / shift capacity to produce a daily schedule.

  • Determine and communicate production priorities, re-entering production orders because of daily BOM changes.

  • Review rework needs and hand walk formulas through process for adjustments.

  • Notify raw material planners to add and remove raw material holds as necessary. Reschedule future production as a result.

  • Review new formulas for new ingredients, completing new items set up in process.

  • Plan maintenance, sanitation, and contractor work as it relates to production.

  • Prepare and communicate several key reports, metrics, and the plant production plans on a weekly /daily basis.

  • Receive, analyze, maintain, and communicate order change notices to customer service.

The Production Scheduler position is well-suited for you if you:

Qualified candidates will have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Industrial/Operations Engineering, or related field.

  • Significant experience with Production Scheduling

  • Experience with data analysis and reporting, including use of Excel (pivot tables, formulas)

  • Prior experience with scheduling in high volume or fast paced manufacturing environments.

  • Minimum 3 years of related Supply Chain experience

  • Strong understanding of production planning, inventory control, and capacity planning

  • Working knowledge of MRP within a formal ERP environment.

  • Willingness to work onsite in Lithonia, GA 5 days per week.

  • Candidates must currently possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States. Work visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

What will set you apart:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or Materials Management

  • 3+ years as a Production Planner

  • Experience working with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., Microsoft D365 SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards)

  • Experience with concepts such MTS, ATO, MTO, Shelf-Life, MOQ's

This role is affiliated to the Lithonia, GA location, and candidates for this role need to reside within a commutable distance of that location and will be required to come into that location. You may be asked to travel to other locations periodically for meetings.
