HOW YOU WILL MAKE HISTORY HERE... As the Sanitation Lead, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe, clean, and compliant production environment. You will help lead sanitation operations by ensuring equipment, facilities, and processes meet USDA, food safety, quality, and sanitation standards. By providing guidance, training, and support to team members, you will help ensure production start-up requirements are met while fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork.

WHAT YOU WILL DO...

  • Assist in planning, organizing, and supervising third-shift sanitation activities.

  • Ensure all cleaning and sanitation activities are performed in compliance with USDA requirements, the Master Cleaning Schedule, PPE guidelines, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices.

  • Train team members on sanitation procedures, equipment cleaning, safety protocols, and proper chemical handling.

  • Conduct initial pre-operational inspections from a sanitation perspective.

  • Provide leadership, coaching, and constructive feedback to sanitation team members.

  • Ensure equipment is properly covered, cleaned, sanitized, and ready for production start-up.

  • Monitor and ensure adherence to the Master Cleaning Schedule.

  • Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Warehouse, and Quality Assurance teams to address sanitation-related concerns.

  • Communicate issues, observations, and team member performance feedback to supervisors.

  • Assist sanitation activities across multiple production lines and work areas as needed.

  • Operate power washers and other sanitation equipment when required.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure facility cleanliness, food safety compliance, and operational readiness.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE... (MUST HAVE)

  • Ability to read and write English.

  • Strong understanding of sanitation, food safety, and workplace safety practices.

  • Knowledge of proper chemical usage, storage, handling, and required PPE.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to provide training, direction, and feedback to team members.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Basic math skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.

  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to safely work around moving equipment.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and make sound decisions using established procedures.

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, climb stairs occasionally, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Ability to travel throughout production areas and work in office, manufacturing, and refrigerated warehouse environments.

  • Ability to work flexible hours based on operational needs.

IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE... (NICE TO HAVE)
  • Bilingual language skills.

  • Previous experience leading or coordinating sanitation teams in a food manufacturing environment.

  • Experience conducting sanitation inspections or pre-operational checks.

  • Working knowledge of USDA regulations and food manufacturing sanitation requirements.

  • Experience operating power washers and industrial cleaning equipment.

  • Familiarity with Master Cleaning Schedules and sanitation documentation processes.

  • Proven ability to foster teamwork, engagement, and continuous improvement within a sanitation department.

Compensation

  • Pay: $22.50 + $2.00 per hour for 3rd Shift

  • Shift: 3rd Shift 10:00PM-7:00am

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
