Job Summary

The Assessment Coordinator assists with planning, facilitating, and tracking assessment strategies that advance the mission of the Office of Institutional Assessment and Accreditation across our multi-campus institution. In this role, the Coordinator helps plan the institutional framework by developing and managing processes for collecting, archiving, peer-reviewing, and ongoing tracking of assessment documents. Through structured communication, this position manages the administrative framework necessary to support educators and visibly enhances student learning, programmatic outcomes, and student support services. While faculty and staff maintain ultimate ownership over setting student learning outcomes, analyzing data, and developing action plans, this position serves as a vital strategic partner. The Coordinator facilitates this partnership by creating targeted resources and delivering practical professional development through both one-on-one support and larger collaborative events. Finally, the Coordinator tracks institutional compliance by managing report workflows, supporting data collection, and generating clear, actionable reports for academic leadership.

Responsibilities
  • Design and refine standardized templates, guidelines, and tools for assessment to ensure consistency across all delivery modalities
  • Develop and manage the institutional assessment framework and submission timelines across the main campus and off-campus instructional sites as well as maintain communication with faculty, staff, and leadership regarding assessment
  • Deliver practical professional development through both one-on-one consultations and larger, collaborative campus events or workshops
  • Create and distribute targeted resources and guides that equip faculty and staff to design and implement effective assessment measures
  • Coordinate and support committees, working groups, and institutional stakeholders participating in assessment and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Manage systematic tracking, archiving, and meta-analysis of assessment data and documentation. This includes regular reporting on data quality, institutional trends, and compliance to promote student achievement across student learning outcomes and career ready competencies
  • Oversee the workflows for the faculty-led peer review of submitted documentation to ensure reporting quality, compliance, and integrity


Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
  • Master's Degree in social or behavioral science, education, educational research or evaluation, or closely related field (with coursework in assessment, measurement, and/or research) or an earned Master's Degree with comparable work experience in higher education

Required Experience
  • Professional communication and academic writing skills applicable in a range of contexts, including research, citation, editing, and proofreading
  • Experience facilitating assessment processes at an institutional level
  • Experience planning and managing complex processes with multiple deadlines, contributors, and stakeholders


Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Educational Qualifications
  • Ph.D. with coursework in research and assessment

Preferred Experience
  • Professional communication and academic writing skills applicable in a range of contexts, including research, citation, editing, and proofreading
  • Experience facilitating assessment processes.
  • Experience planning and managing complex processes with multiple deadlines, contributors, and stakeholders


Proposed Salary

$60,617 - $77,306

This is an exempt position paid on a monthly basis.
