We are seeking an experienced Commercial Refrigeration Technician to service supermarket and grocery store accounts in the Austin, TX area.

This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining complex refrigeration systems while ensuring all work meets company standards and customer compliance requirements. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with supermarket refrigeration systems, can troubleshoot efficiently, and takes pride in delivering high-quality, accurate work.

Key Responsibilities:

*Diagnose, repair, and maintain supermarket refrigeration systems (racks, cases, walk-ins).

*Perform leak detection, repairs, and refrigerant charging in compliance with EPA standards.

*Complete detailed service documentation, including notes, photos, and reports.

*Accurately complete customer portal requirements.

*Ensure all refrigerant compliance and service event requirements are met.

*Communicate with dispatch and service managers regarding job status and parts needs.

*Coordinate with procurement for parts ordering and job follow-ups.

*Maintain company vehicle, tools, and truck stock.

*Participate in after-hours on-call rotation and respond to emergency service calls.

Qualifications:

*3+ years of commercial refrigeration experience (REQUIRED).

*Strong supermarket/grocery refrigeration experience (rack systems, multi-case systems).

*Experience working on parallel rack systems, compressors, condensers, and evaporators.

*Experience with EPRs, expansion valves (TXVs/EEVs), and case controls.

*Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical components (low/high voltage).

*Experience with refrigerants such as R-404A, R-448A, R-407A, and CO systems (preferred).

*Ability to perform leak detection, repairs, evacuation, and proper charging procedures.

*Understanding of defrost cycles, controls, and system sequencing.

*Familiarity with EMS/BMS systems and refrigeration controls (Danfoss, Emerson/CPC, etc.).

*EPA Certification (Universal required or preferred).

*Ability to read wiring diagrams and refrigeration schematics.

*Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.

*Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

*Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Required experience:

Parallel rack systems (diagnostics, controls, compressors).

Case systems, walk-ins, and reach-ins.

Refrigerant troubleshooting and leak repair.
