Security Officer - Entry Point Specialist

As a Security Officer Entry Point Specialist in Minooka, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a fast-paced distribution location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support daily operations through visible presence and strong communication. You will help to deter security-related incidents, assist visitors and team members, and contribute to a people-first culture built on reliability, teamwork, innovation, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a busy distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorizations, and help to deter unauthorized access to docks, warehouses, offices, and other restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or local responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, paying attention to trailer yards, shipping and receiving areas, parking areas, and other key operational spaces.
• Support truck traffic and visitor processing by providing directions, maintaining accurate access logs, and reporting security-related concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
