Student Affairs is organized to augment, strengthen and support the university's commitment to the total development of students. The Office of Title IX is designed to serve students, faculty, and staff and provides leadership to the University's efforts to foster an environment free of Sex and Gender Based Discrimination and Harassment, Interpersonal Violence, and Stalking. The Office of Title IX maintains compliance in accordance with federal and state laws and promotes equality in educational opportunity, programming, and employment. |
| Description of Work |
The Director of Title IX Compliance develops and implements the institution's comprehensive program for compliance with Title IX laws and regulations; ensures the accuracy of institutional data and required reports; conducts institution-wide education related to Title IX; and directs the University's compliance with federal and state discrimination and sexual harassment law. The Director of Title IX Compliance will monitor Title IX and equity related complaints and grievances, develop and implement compliance policies and programs, and serve as the institutional expert on matters involving sexual misconduct and interpersonal violence. The Director of Title IX Compliance will work collaboratively with campus and community stakeholders to ensure institutional compliance with external agency mandates, including Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the U.S. Department of Education's Office for Civil Rights, the National Collegiate Athletic Association, and others as deemed appropriate. The Director of Title IX Compliance will develop and maintain a thorough, equitable, well-documented, and neutral investigative process and maintain accurate and thorough records of Title IX related resolutions. The Director of Title IX Compliance is responsible for the supervision of the investigation of Prohibited Conduct complaints under the University's Policy on Sex and Gender Based Discrimination and Harassment, Interpersonal Violence and Stalking and will ensure effective and efficient management and resolution of complaints.

Demonstrate knowledge of and ability to interpret federal and state equal opportunity and non-discrimination laws and regulations, including Title IX, Title
VII,
ADA, Clery,
VAWA, and other applicable laws and regulations.
Experience with database management systems such as Maxient. |
| Minimum Training and Experience |
Bachelor's degree with three years' experience of Title IX compliance/investigations, law or compliance or Master's degree (a Juris Doctor is preferred) with one year of Title IX compliance/investigation, law, compliance or an equivalent combination of education and experience. |
