Full Stack Developer - Data Apps

Location: Remote (Must reside within 100 miles of Culver City, CA)

Duration: 12-Month Contract

Pay Rate: $90.00/hour

Our client is seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer to design and build modern, scalable data applications that transform complex data into intuitive, user-friendly experiences. This role combines frontend development, backend engineering, cloud infrastructure, and API development to deliver end-to-end solutions that improve operational efficiency and support data-driven decision making.

The ideal candidate is a collaborative software engineer who enjoys owning products from concept through deployment. You'll partner closely with engineering leadership, product managers, analytics teams, and business stakeholders to build applications that automate workflows, improve data accessibility, and support large-scale marketing operations.

• Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end web applications, including frontend interfaces, backend services, and data APIs.
  
• Build responsive, production-ready user interfaces that simplify complex data products and workflows.
  
• Develop scalable middleware and backend services to support business-critical applications.
  
• Deliver high-quality, maintainable code following software engineering best practices.
  

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs that support internal applications and data services.
  
• Build backend services using modern frameworks and programming languages.
  
• Develop secure, scalable solutions that integrate with enterprise data platforms.
  
• Optimize application performance and reliability across distributed systems.
  

• Build, deploy, and manage cloud-native applications using AWS services.
  
• Implement infrastructure as code to provision and maintain cloud resources.
  
• Support containerized application deployments and CI/CD pipelines.
  
• Monitor and optimize application performance, scalability, and availability.
  

• Develop applications that integrate with relational and NoSQL databases.
  
• Design data services that enable efficient access to business and analytics data.
  
• Collaborate with analytics and engineering teams to support evolving data requirements.
  
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and performance across application environments.
  

• Partner with product managers, engineering leaders, analytics teams, and business stakeholders to define technical solutions.
  
• Translate business requirements into scalable software designs.
  
• Provide engineering support for production applications during business hours (PST).
  
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  

• Strong experience developing production-grade web applications using React.
  
• Experience building backend and middleware services with Node.js.
  
• Expertise designing and developing RESTful APIs using FastAPI, Flask, Django, or similar frameworks.
  
• Advanced proficiency in TypeScript and Python.
  
• Experience deploying and managing applications on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  
• Hands-on experience with AWS services including:

• Experience implementing infrastructure as code using AWS CDK or similar tools.
  
• Strong understanding of relational and NoSQL database technologies.
  
• Experience with Docker, containerization, and CI/CD pipelines.
  
• Solid understanding of software engineering principles, testing methodologies, Git version control, and application lifecycle management.
  
• Ability to independently own projects from design through deployment while collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams.
  

• Experience building internal business applications or analytics platforms.
  
• Knowledge of scalable data architecture and modern data services.
  
• Experience developing cloud-native applications within enterprise environments.
  
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills across frontend, backend, and cloud infrastructure.
  
• Passion for building intuitive user experiences powered by complex data systems.
  

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field preferred.
  
• Equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
