Description

The Marketing Systems Specialist role performs general marketing tasks related to marketing systems, content libraries, data quality, and proposal-related resources and routinely completes assignments independently and with limited supervision. The role requires some experience with sales and marketing systems, proposal development, and creative problem solving. These staff members are self-driven, detail-oriented, manage deadlines effectively, and able to collaborate with diverse teams of engineers, marketers, and design staff to update standard content, maintain tools, and support proposal and marketing content needs. This career-development role builds proficiency in marketing systems, process development, content management, and proposal support.

Responsibilities



  • Work closely with Marketing Systems leadership to develop and update standard content and processes that support business development and client engagement.


  • Help maintain marketing content libraries, marketing SharePoint sites, project description databases, and resume tools to make high-value information accessible to all BC staff.


  • Support data governance and integrity, including ongoing review, standardization, and correction of data across marketing systems.


  • Assist with planning and execution of system upgrades, enhancements, and testing related to marketing system configuration and connected systems.


  • Contribute to company marketing process improvements through innovation and automation that increase efficiency and overall sales program effectiveness.


  • Perform competitor research and analysis to maintain competitive edge in the marketplace.


  • Help advance company-wide projects to achieve the sales program goals including improving efficiency and supporting a high capture rate.


  • Support a variety of tasks related to proposal development, including document preparation, editing, and coordination.


  • Help communicate strategic messages clearly and consistently to different audiences.


  • Flexibility to adapt and execute various additional assignments based on evolving needs.


Mentorship



  • May provide mentorship, guidance, support, and knowledge-sharing to help less experienced team members develop their skills and grow within their roles.


Skills and Competencies



  • Solid understanding of marketing principles and tactics.


  • Working proficiency in learning and using marketing information systems, databases, or related business tools.


  • Ability to apply analytical skills for duties including reusable content and proposal development.


  • Solid understanding of data management practices and tools for effective marketing systems maintenance.


  • Strong written and oral communication skills to effectively convey strategic messaging.


  • Strong facilitation skills to support discussions focused on advancing marketing systems, content development, and proposal coordination.


  • Ability to work independently and complete tasks efficiently.


Experience



  • Typically, a minimum of 2 years related work experience inclusive of proposal development.


  • Experience supporting proposal content development, editing, and coordination.


  • Experience with technology or information systems updates, testing, or optimization


Education



  • A bachelor's degree in marketing, business or a related field is required.



Salary Range: The anticipated starting pay range for this position is based on the employee's primary work location and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Location A: $28.30 - $38.00
Location B: $30.70 - $41.90
Location C: $33.60 - $45.70
