Join the team at Farrar, Straus, Giroux (FSG). We're looking for an editorial assistant who has a broad range of interests and excellent communication and organizational skills who will work closely with the Editor in Chief, supporting all aspects of running the editorial department as well as publishing a range of fiction and nonfiction. A cover letter is required to apply for this role. Additionally, a writing sample of 350-500 words must be provided to be considered for the position. The ideal candidate will be interested in the life of the book from start to finish- a thoughtful and efficient reader with a passion for bringing contemporary literature and innovative ideas to a broad audience. They should be a curious self-starter who enjoys working independently as well as collaboratively with a team. Problem-solving, time management, devotion to follow-through, confidence in communication, attention to detail, and top-notch organizational skills are a must. Proficiency in a second language is highly prized. Strong copywriting skills are essential. Bring enthusiasm, a can-do spirit, and fresh ideas! What you'll do:

The salary range for this role is $50,000. This position is classified as remote but is tied to our New York, NY office located at 120 Broadway. Employment is subject to New York State tax withholding under applicable regulations.
