As a Security Officer Armed Access Control in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Pay Rate: $18.84 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
• Monitor access control points, verify identification and/or credentials, process visitors, and maintain required entry and exit records in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or public agencies as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated interior and exterior areas, including entrances, lobbies, and perimeter points, to help to deter unauthorized access and report security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience or at least 2 years of security-related supervisor or manager experience or at least 3 years of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Possess a college degree.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
