As a Shipping & Receiving Clerk, you will support reliable material flow and product movement at Coperion, a Hillenbrand company, in Kansas City, Missouri. You will help ensure incoming and outgoing shipments are handled accurately, safely, and efficiently to meet customer and operational commitments. We design and build equipment and systems used in industrial processing applications that support manufacturing around the world. Your work will contribute to consistent operations, quality outcomes, and continuous improvement across the site.

- Shift: First shift
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Unload inbound trucks using a forklift or overhead crane while following safety standards and handling procedures to protect materials and equipment
- Inspect received goods for quality and quantity, document findings in systems, and resolve discrepancies to maintain accurate inventory records
- Prepare and package materials using cartons, custom wooden crates, skids, and pallets to ensure secure and compliant shipment
- Generate packing lists and shipping documentation, including bills of lading (BOL), to support accurate order fulfillment and traceability
- Arrange transportation services, including truck carriers and parcel shipments, to meet delivery timelines and customer requirements
- Maintain shipping and receiving data in internal systems to support visibility, reporting, and operational planning
- Apply 5S and lean practices and follow ISO 9001 standards, work instructions, and procedures to support safe, organized, and efficient operations

THE EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES NEEDED:
- High school diploma or equivalent, with at least 6 months of experience in shipping, receiving, or a related warehouse environment
- Ability to operate or learn to operate forklifts and overhead cranes in a safe and controlled manner
- Working knowledge of shipping documentation, including packing lists and bills of lading, and basic inventory processes
- Comfort using computer systems for data entry, tracking shipments, and maintaining records
- Strong attention to detail to inspect materials, verify quantities, and ensure accurate documentation
- Ability to organize tasks, manage time, and meet daily shipping and receiving deadlines
- Sound judgment and problem-solving skills to address discrepancies and support workflow continuity
- Dependable work habits, with a focus on safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
