Ocean Spray is hiring for a(n) Manager, Social Media Strategy & Content! We're a team of farmers, thinkers, creators, and doers. Position Location: We're all about flexibility! This will be a hybrid role based out of our seaport location in Boston, MA with Mondays and Fridays remote.

Ocean Spray is seeking a visionary Manager, Social Media Strategy & Content to lead the evolution of our organic social ecosystem. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Brand & Creative Strategy, this role will define and execute a modern social vision that elevates our brand, drives cultural relevance, and establishes social as a critical component of the consumer experience.

The ideal candidate combines strategic leadership with hands-on content expertise, bringing experience in brand storytelling, audience engagement, creator partnerships, and social-first content development while helping build and scale a best-in-class social function.

A Day in the Life...

Key Responsibilities

Define Ocean Spray's Social Vision

  • Develop and own a forward-looking social media vision and content strategy that reflects Ocean Spray's brand ambition, creative direction, and business goals.
  • Establish a clear point of view on the role social should play across brand building, culture, community, commerce, and consumer engagement.
  • Move the organization from reactive social execution toward a proactive, strategically-led content ecosystem.
  • Identify emerging opportunities, platforms, and consumer behaviors that will shape the future of the brand's social presence.

Lead Organic Social Content Strategy

  • Develop distinct content frameworks, editorial approaches, and creative systems that deliver consistent, compelling brand storytelling across channels.
  • Introduce new content formats, narrative structures, creator models, and production approaches that evolve beyond historical playbooks while maintaining strong performance.
  • Ensure content reflects Ocean Spray's creative standards and brand voice while remaining relevant to social audiences.
  • Balance participation in culture and trends with a disciplined focus on long-term brand equity and distinctiveness.
  • Provide creative direction and guidance on content concepts, campaigns, creator collaborations, and real-time opportunities.

Build and Scale Social Capabilities

  • Help design the future-state social operating model, including team structure, workflows, governance, and capabilities.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a growing team of social strategists, content creators, and community managers as the function expands.
  • Build strong partnerships across Brand, Creative, Communications, Consumer Insights, and Marketing teams.
  • Foster a culture of experimentation, learning, and creative excellence.

Manage Social Agency, Creators and Technology Partnership

  • Oversee agency relationships, creators and external partners, ensuring strategic alignment, creative quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Evaluate, onboard, and integrate new social platforms, content tools, AI-enabled solutions, and emerging technologies.
  • Build a cohesive ecosystem of partners that strengthens Ocean Spray's social capabilities and impact.
  • Establish clear processes, expectations, and measurement frameworks

Drive Performance & Continuous Improvement

  • Define KPIs and success metrics that balance engagement, brand health, audience growth, and business impact.
  • Translate social insights and performance data into actionable recommendations and strategic decision-making.
  • Champion a test-and-learn mindset to continually improve content effectiveness and operational efficiency.
  • Communicate social performance, opportunities, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.

What We Are Looking For:

Qualifications

Required Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in social media strategy, content strategy, digital marketing, or integrated brand communications.
  • Proven experience developing and leading social strategies for major consumer brands, agencies, or media organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to build content ecosystems that drive both brand growth and audience engagement.
  • Experience managing agencies, creators, production partners, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of the social media landscape, platform evolution, creator economy, and content trends.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience building, leading, or optimizing social media team structures
  • Experience developing content strategies across organic social, influencer, community management, and social-first creative.
  • CPG, food and beverage, lifestyle, or consumer brand experience preferred.

Education:

Bachelor's or University Degree (Required)

Work Experience:

At least 5 Years of Experience

Annual Salary:

$105,800 - $132,200

The base salary range information above serves as a guideline of the position's typical hiring range.
