The Construction Project Administrator 1 position with the Department of Transportation offers a great chance to support major facility operations across the District. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position manages facility operations, construction projects and building maintenance activities across a District to support safe and efficient transportation services. As a Construction Project Administrator 1, you will perform the following duties:
- Facility Oversight: Manage district buildings, grounds, and critical facility assets
- Emergency Response: Coordinate building closures, safety measures, and reopening plans during facility emergencies
- Project Management: Oversee construction projects from planning through completion and ensure compliance with standards
- Technical Guidance: Assist staff with technical specifications and contract requirements for facility work
- Stakeholder Coordination: Work with managers, contractors, and other partners to support project needs
- Site Evaluation: Visit district facilities to inspect conditions, document updates and support ongoing assessments

- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- This position may be eligible for alternate work schedule (AWS)
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in King of Prussia. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six years of experience in building construction administration, construction planning, or multi-trade building construction project management in commercial or industrial facilities; or
- Two years of experience in building construction administration, construction planning, or multi-trade building construction project management in commercial or industrial facilities; and a bachelor's degree in construction technology, architecture, building science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, building automation systems, or a closely related field; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes two years of experience in building construction administration, construction planning, or multi-trade building construction project management in commercial or industrial facilities.
Special Requirements:
- This position requires possession of an active motor vehicle license.
