The Vice President, FP&A is a key strategic leader responsible for partnering with the Chief Financial Officer to support Travere Therapeutics' continued growth and long-term value creation. Reporting to the CFO, this individual will help guide the Company's financial strategy through disciplined financial planning and forecasting, thoughtful capital allocation and rigorous business decision support, ensuring financial resources are deployed to maximize impact for patients and shareholders.

Building upon a strong finance foundation, the Vice President will lead the evolution of the Company's financial planning, forecasting and budgeting capabilities to meet the needs of an increasingly complex and growing organization. The role and Finance team will provide strategic financial insight across the business, helping evaluate investment opportunities, optimize resource allocation and support the financial assessment and integration of business development initiatives.

This leader will work closely with the CFO, Executive Leadership Team and business leaders across the organization to ensure financial considerations are embedded in strategic decision-making. Equally important, the Vice President will invest in the continued development of an already talented Finance team, serving as a mentor and coach while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous learning.

The successful candidate will combine exceptional analytical rigor with strong business judgment, an enterprise mindset and the ability to influence decisions through thoughtful partnership. This individual will thrive in a collaborative environment, balancing strategic perspective with operational excellence while helping position Travere for its next phase of growth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Company's financial planning and analysis function, including annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, long-range planning, scenario analysis, financial modeling, and performance reporting to support strategic decision-making.
  • Serve as the principle strategic advisor to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Executive Leadership Team (ET) on enterprise strategy, capital allocation, and organizational priorities through rigorous financial analysis and business insights.
  • Lead enterprise-wide resource allocation and portfolio investment analyses, helping prioritize investments across research and development, commercial operations, manufacturing, corporate functions, and business development to maximize long-term value creation.
  • Represent Finance with external stakeholders including investors, banking partners, auditors, advisors and, where appropriate, members of the Board of Directors.
  • Lead the financial evaluation, due diligence, and integration planning for mergers and acquisitions, licensing transactions, strategic collaborations, and other corporate development initiatives.
  • Develop and enhance integrated financial models, forecasting methodologies, key performance indicators, and analytical tools that improve decision-making, forecasting accuracy, and organizational visibility into business performance.
  • Oversee financial performance reporting, including monthly business reviews, executive management reporting, variance analyses, and Board materials that provide actionable insights into business performance.
  • Support capital markets activities, including financial guidance, financing transactions, benchmarking etc
  • Partner closely with leaders across Research & Development, Commercial, Medical Affairs, Technical Operations, Legal, Human Resources, Information Technology, and Accounting to align financial plans with business priorities and provide proactive financial decision support.
  • Collaborate closely with the Accounting organization to ensure alignment between financial planning, financial reporting, external guidance, and operational execution.
  • Lead the transformation of Finance processes, systems, reporting capabilities, and planning tools to improve scalability, efficiency, automation, and analytical capabilities, further supporting the businesses evolving strategic objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and continue to develop a currently high-performing Finance organization through coaching, succession planning, talent development, and fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline required.
  • MBA, CFA, or other advanced business or finance credential preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of progressively responsible finance leadership experience, including senior leadership roles within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Demonstrated experience leading enterprise financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, long-range planning, and financial performance management for a publicly traded biotechnology or pharmaceutical company.
  • Experience partnering directly with executive leadership and Boards of Directors to support strategic planning, financial decision-making, and long-term value creation.
  • Demonstrated experience developing financial models, scenario analyses, and capital allocation frameworks to support strategic investments and corporate decision-making.
  • Experience supporting business development activities, including financial evaluation, financial diligence, licensing transactions, mergers and acquisitions, strategic collaborations, and post-transaction integration.
  • Strong understanding of biotechnology financial drivers, including research and development investment planning, clinical development economics, commercial forecasting, manufacturing operations, and portfolio prioritization.
  • Experience supporting capital markets activities, including financial guidance, financing transactions, earnings preparation, and investor communications preferred.
  • Experience leading and developing high-performing finance organizations, including talent development, succession planning, and organizational scaling.
  • Experience implementing and optimizing financial planning systems, enterprise planning tools, reporting platforms, and business intelligence capabilities preferred.
  • Prior experience in a commercial-stage, rapidly growing biotechnology or pharmaceutical organization strongly preferred.

Target Base Pay Range:

$285,000.00 - $385,000.00
