Schedule: 40 hours/week; Monday-Friday, 7:30 am-4:00 pm

Position Details

The Receptionist plays a vital role in a behavioral health setting by serving as the first point of contact for clients, families, and visitors. This position supports clinical services through efficient front-office operations, accurate documentation, and coordination with clinical and administrative teams, while maintaining strict confidentiality and demonstrating professionalism, accountability, and compassion.

Key Responsibilities



  • Prepare medication-management treatment plans for clinician review and physician approval.
  • Process and fulfill medical records requests in accordance with organizational policies and confidentiality requirements.
  • Answer incoming phone calls and appropriately address, route, or escalate client inquiries.
  • Schedule and coordinate client appointments as needed.
  • Communicate with clients through written correspondence as needed.
  • Maintain and replenish office and clinical forms to ensure operational readiness.
  • Accurately file and maintain client records in a timely manner.
  • Retrieve, organize, and return client charts and documentation as needed.
  • Provide administrative and operational support to clinical staff.
  • Process referrals for outpatient services and assist with intake-related duties for Stevens Center programs.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:



  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Must have an active and valid driver's license.
  • Ability to handle sensitive data.
  • Ability to effectively meet competing priorities within expected time frames.
  • Excellent skills with customer service, documentation, and record keeping.
  • One year of experience working in an office setting preferred.
  • Associates degree preferred.
