What You'll Do:


You'll help prepare, maintain, balance, and repair molds used throughout our manufacturing process. Your work will directly support production uptime, product quality, and safe operations.



  • Prepare and pre-balance molds for production based on production orders and established procedures.
  • Locate, transport, stage, and set up molds using forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
  • Calculate required mold and resin weights and balance mold lids and bodies for proper production setup.
  • Set up molds individually or in groups, including ganging molds when required.
  • Perform mold preparation activities including baking, screening, and wiring.
  • Perform minor mold repairs using TIG/MIG welding equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
  • Repair mold handles, clean parting lines, check vents, maintain mold finishes, and complete other repairs needed to keep molds production-ready.
  • Operate equipment such as cut-off saws, drill presses, grinders, polishing equipment, milling machines, and welding equipment.
  • Identify molds requiring more extensive repairs and coordinate their transfer to the mold repair shop.
  • Maintain accurate mold logs, diagrams, identification numbers, locations, and other critical mold information.
  • Maintain mold repair and pre-balancing parts inventory and order approved replacement parts when needed.
  • Provide production support by filling in for Roto Cast Operators during breaks, absences, or other coverage needs.
  • Identify and report equipment, tooling, material, quality, or safety concerns.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while meeting established quality and production standards.


What We're Looking For:



  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Hands-on mechanical experience using equipment such as cut-off saws, grinders, drill presses, and hand or power tools.
  • Basic math skills and the ability to perform calculations used during mold setup and balancing.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to successfully complete Pelican's internal forklift certification.
  • Comfortable working in an active manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical issues and determine when additional repair support is needed.
  • Previous TIG or MIG welding experience is a plus.
