Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Welding certification or completion of a technical/trade school welding program is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and welding procedures.


Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of TIG welding experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or production environment, or equivalent technical training.
  • Experience welding stainless steel and other metal components.
  • Knowledge of Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), quality standards, and weld inspection practices.
  • Ability to identify welding defects and perform repairs when needed.


Physical Capabilities

  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in a manufacturing environment for extended periods.
  • Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity and steady hand-eye coordination required for precision welding.
  • Ability to safely wear required PPE, including welding helmets, gloves, and protective clothing.


Job Duties

  • Perform TIG welding on stainless steel and other metal components according to engineering specifications and customer requirements.
  • Set up and operate welding equipment, selecting appropriate tooling, fixtures, filler materials, and welding parameters.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly.
  • Inspect completed welds, complete quality documentation, and ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
  • Report recurring weld defects, material concerns, or production issues to Quality and Production leadership.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while supporting continuous improvement, equipment maintenance, and manufacturing productivity initiatives.
