Electrical Engineer - Medical Device Integration

Onsite | Irvine, CA | Up to $70/Hour

Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer with a background in medical devices, product testing, and regulated environments? We are seeking a highly collaborative engineer to support the integration of advanced implantable medical device technologies. This is a hands-on execution-focused role working alongside senior engineering teams to drive compliance, testing, design remediation, and product integration initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

• Support medical device integration projects by identifying compliance gaps and implementing corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain electrical and systems engineering documentation, specifications, validation protocols, and technical reports.
• Perform design verification, product testing, test method validation, and engineering analysis.
• Participate in risk assessments, hazard analyses, FMEA activities, and design control processes.
• Evaluate engineering processes, products, and testing strategies to improve efficiency and compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to align quality and technical requirements.
• Communicate project progress, risks, recommendations, and technical findings to leadership.
• Ensure compliance with quality systems, regulatory standards, and engineering procedures.
• Travel up to 10% as needed, primarily local travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 4+ years of engineering experience with a Bachelor's degree or 2+ years with a Master's degree.
• Experience in a regulated industry required.
• Implantable medical device experience and testing strongly preferred.
• Strong electrical and/or systems engineering documentation experience.
• Excellent technical writing, communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to analyze technical data and make sound engineering recommendations.
