Job Title:Electronic Design Engineer

Job Purpose:

Based in Huntsville, AL, SCI Technology's Defense and Aerospace Group, with a military developmentfocused atmosphere plus the stability and resources of a Fortune-500 company, is seeking highlymotivated engineers to join our team.Working with technology partners, we develop new products fora wide range of defense, aerospace, and commercial markets.

We are currently seeking innovative Electrical Engineers to join our Aircraft Systems team in thedevelopment of new instrumentation products.You will be expected to support a product's electricaldesign activity from requirements definition through development, qualification testing and low rateinitial production (LRIP).You will be expected to perform assigned duties with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

*Work with cross-functional project team members to develop new products

* Collaborate with engineers and program team to create overall system and product design specifications

*Innovative electrical and microprocessor designs per system requirements

*Develop analysis documentation and design description documentation to support customerreviews

*Develop test plans for design validation

*Test systems and subsystems for design validation

*Document design with schematic drawings as well as supporting design documentation

*Technical communication with internal and external customers

Qualifications:

*Citizenship & Clearance: Must have the ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret Security Clearance.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer & Systems Engineering orsimilar field from an ABET accredited university (MS is beneficial).

*Experience:

o 0-2 years of experience in the design of electronic and/or electro-mechanical systems usingCadence Allegro or other ECAD software.

o Must possess the ability to work successfully in a cross-functional team environment and beable to communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms.

o Must have the ability to solve problems through innovation and creativity, as well asthrough listening to other team members and working to develop the best path forward.

o Must be able to effectively utilize tools such as simulation, rapid prototyping, and testing tojustify design decisions.

o Experience with the design of DoD type electronics and related systems is highly desired.

o Experience with microcontroller circuit design and programming.

o Understanding of design methods for EMI/EMC mitigation.

o Familiar with standard electronic test and measurement equipment.

o Experience in the application of data acquisition tools such as LabView is desired.

* Tools & Certifications:

o Proficient in use of MS Office Suite.

o Highly motivated, self-driven, and eager to learn new technologies.

o Strong problem solving skills, good communication skills, and ability to work in a team.

o Must be able to obtain a security clearance if required.
