THIS POSITION IS APPOINTIVE SERVICE/TEMPORARY



$19.52 hourly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Government Center/Viera. Part-time/up to 24 hours per week not to exceed six (6) months. Work schedule is Monday through Wednesday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Performs experienced technical work as part of the Survey team office staff preparing and updating digital survey maps, sketches, and exhibits researching deed and plats; and inputting Geographic Information System (GIS) data in the production of GIS asset maps.



REQUIREMENTS: Thirty (30) semester hours [forty-five (45) quarter hours] of college-level coursework towards a technical degree in Surveying, Engineering, Computer-Aided Design (CAD) Drafting, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Geomatics, or a closely related field; OR two (2) years of experience in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) drafting or Geographic Information System (GIS) input and mapping. Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida driver's license and maintain said license during the term of employment. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
