What You'll Do:
Lead Kitchen Operations: Oversee food preparation and presentation, ensuring every plate meets Loews' standards for taste and quality Manage the Team: Supervise line and prep cooks during shifts, providing guidance, feedback, and mentorship to foster growth and excellence Ensure Consistency: Maintain compliance with recipes, portion sizes, and presentation guidelines to deliver a uniform guest experience Coordinate Service: Partner with the service team to guarantee timely and accurate food delivery during peak periods Optimize Resources: Monitor inventory, assist with ordering, and implement strategies to reduce waste and control costs Maintain Standards: Uphold HACCP and sanitation protocols, keeping the kitchen clean, safe, and organized Support Guest Satisfaction: Collaborate with front-of-house teams to accommodate special requests and resolve any service issues promptly Maintain regular and reliable attendance in alignment with company standards and operational needs. Embrace flexibility by performing other duties as assigned to support team and organizational goals.
Your Qualifications Include:
- 3-5 years supervisory experience in upscale, high-volume hotel preferred.
- Experienced in ingredients, techniques, and operating Combination Ovens, Fryers, Grills, Griddles, Food Processors, Mixers, Slicers, Steamers, Sous Vide Machines, and Walk-in Coolers.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of Food Service Sanitation Standards.
- Certification as" Food Service Manager" or other, as required by State County or Local regulations.
- Effective leadership, organizational and communication skills.
- Culinary degree or equivalent formal training preferred
- Excellent guest service skills.
- Ability to regularly push, pull, lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to communicate effectively in English verbally and written with team members, leaders and guests required.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, nights, weekends and holidays as required.
