Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit

Classes provide rigorous and evidence-based content, and give students the opportunity to explore theory, learn intervention skills and engage in challenging dialogue with colleagues.
Position Summary
The IT Support Specialist provides technical support for the NC Certified Peer Support Specialist ( NCCPSS) Program within the UNC School of Social Work. This position serves as a primary point of contact for users navigating the certification application, online payment, and online training processes. The position will oversee approval of job and training posts appropriate for Certified Peer Support Specialist.

Key responsibilities include managing technical support requests through Freshdesk, troubleshooting user accounts and application/payment issues through payment processor TouchNet. The position will support learner enrollment, course progression, and completion in Moodle LMS. The position also maintains knowledge-base resources in Freshdesk and uses basic HTML/ CSS and WYSIWYG editors to improve the formatting of page, job, training postings and online learning content.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
- Associate's degree in Computer Information Technology, Computer Technology Integration; Networking Technology, or related areas and two years of experience in the Information Technology field related to the position's role; or a
- Bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of experience in the Information Technology Field related to the position's role, or a
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math or Engineering from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of experience in the Information Technology Field related to the position's role; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Journey level requires an additional one year of experience.
- Advanced level requires an additional two years of experience.
Management Preferences
Experience with Drupal/Drupal Commerce.
Experience with Moodle or another LMS.
Experience supporting online learning environments.
Experience creating or maintaining knowledge-base documentation.
CompTIA A+, or other relevant technical training.
Special Physical/Mental Requirements
