0.8 - 0.9 FTE - Day Shift

Starting Pay - $38.26 to $57.38 (based on experience)

Offers for external candidates are generally made between the minimum and midpoint of the range, based on experience.

Qualifications:



  • Satisfactory completion of an accrediting Diagnostic Sonography Program
  • American Registry Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) accreditation
  • BLS certification
  • Excellent customer service
  • Must be self-directed and organized


Job Responsibilities:



  • Performs diagnostic echo sonography as described above: transthoracic, transesophageal with, or without contract, and stress testing when indicated.
  • Alerts nursing staff of imaging tests that require nursing administration of contrast and to provide assessments for all stress echocardiograms.
  • Collaborates with nursing, exercise physiologists, and cardiologists for appropriate direction, testing indications, and anticipated patient care needs during imaging.
  • Stocks rooms, orders supplies, and helps to maintain all imaging equipment.
  • Participates in daily huddles.
  • Participates in regular education and training.
  • Participates in departmental registry activities as needed.
  • Participates with and assists with departmental accreditation activities.
  • Provides echocardiography updates and education to nursing, exercise physiologists, and other staff to increase collaborative learning.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Licenses & Certifications
HeartCode BLS (required)
Diagnostic Cardiac Sonogr (preferred)
