The Strategic Project Manager, within Strategic Portfolio Management, leads the execution of high-impact projects and programs that drive organizational success. This role turns enterprise strategy into action by coordinating and implementing new projects, services, and processes that align with system priorities. You will partner with executive leadership, system-wide stakeholders, and service line leaders to drive strategic alignment, translate priority initiatives into execution, and improve project performance across the enterprise. You will manage projects through discovery, planning, oversight, and evaluation, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with key performance indicators and goals. The Work You'll Lead Strategic Project Managers are assigned initiatives with executive sponsorship that cross multiple departments or service lines, require governance oversight, and carry significant financial, operational, or reputational impact. Current and recent examples include: Strategic Plan Execution Partner with senior leaders to translate enterprise strategy into actionable programs and initiatives. Develop implementation roadmaps, track organizational performance, facilitate governance discussions, and ensure strategic priorities are executed successfully. Enterprise Operational Transformation Drive initiatives that improve capacity, access, throughput, quality, and financial performance across the health system. Lead cross-functional teams, establish governance structures, manage performance metrics, and support executive decision-making through data-driven insights. Enterprise Change and Innovation Initiatives Support transformational projects that reshape how care is delivered and how the organization operates. Navigate complex stakeholder environments, remove barriers to progress, manage risks, and drive adoption of new processes, technologies, and ways of working. Key Responsibilities
Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree required. Experience: Three or more years of project management experience, preferably in healthcare or a similarly complex environment. Certification: PMP required. Skills: Strong stakeholder management and executive communication, data and financial analysis, discretion with confidential information, and the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives at once. | |
