January 1, 2027 Application Window Open date: October 7, 2026 Next review date: Thursday, Nov 12, 2026 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Wednesday, Jun 30, 2027 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the University of California, Riverside (UCR) invites applications for a part-time Lecturer position available during the 2026-2027 academic year. The department welcomes applicants in the following areas: computer engineering, communications, robotics, controls, intelligent systems, machine learning, signal/image processing and computer vision. ECE students also complete a two-quarter senior design project during their final year; experience advising or mentoring senior design projects is an additional asset. A minimum of a master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or a related field, along with at least one year of substantial teaching experience. A Ph.D. degree in any engineering field or Physics is a preferred qualification. The starting salary is $88,143 based on a full-time appointment. Lecturer appointments may be renewed based on departmental need, funding availability, and performance.
